TESDA Agricultural Crops Production NC III

    TESDA Agricultural Crops Production NC III course is the acquisition of skills and training on how to successfully plant, grow and harvest vegetables, fruits and grains. The course would also include the implementation of post harvest and plant nutritional programs as well as establishing and undertaking agronomic crop maintenance and harvesting activities. In order to have a good harvest, implementation of vertebrae pest control program and preparation and application of chemical and weeds control would be very essential.

    It also involves acquiring skills with massive importance for the improved and better performance of the practice such as:

    1. How to apply safety measures in farm operations;
    2. How to use farm tools and equipment;
    3. How to perform estimation and calculations;
    4. How to perform land form agricultural crop production;
    5. How to implement a post harvest and plant nutritional program;
    6. How to establish agronomic crops;
    7. How to undertake agronomic crop maintenance and harvesting activities;
    8. How to save, prepare and sort agricultural seed;
    9. How to implement vertebrate pest control program; and
    10. How to prepare and apply chemicals and weeds control.    

    HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO STUDY A CERTAIN COURSE?

    In order to accomplish the short term course, one has to attend classes in a minimum of 540 hours. The schedule will depend on the TESDA site you will be enrolling at.

    However, in order to take this course, one has to take Agricultural Crops Production NC I as a Prerequisite. This is required by the Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs).

    What are the requirements for enrolling in TESDA Agricultural Crops Production Course?

    1. PSA Birth Certificate
    2. High School or College Diploma
    3. Certified True Copy of Official Transcript of Records or Form 137
    4. Certificate of Good Moral Character or GMRC
    5. 1 x 1 and/or 2 x 2 pictures

    However, the requirements may vary depending on the training center or school you are enrolling at. So please be advised to be in communication with the school for the possible variation of required documents.

    HOW TO BE A CERTIFIED ONE?

    In every course to be taken, there will be assessments that will be made to gauge the performance of the students. It will be the time to prove the depth of their learning. It will also serve as a knowing stage of their strengths and weaknesses that can either be kept or improved.  The assessors of the course are highly respected and qualified to assess the performance of the one undergoing the test. 

    A person enrolled in this short term course may be required to undergo an assessment to determine his or her competency. In order to be a certified NC III holder, one has to undergo the said assessment before the end of course. It would be under respected and qualified professors who had been trained in testing students in this field.
