TESDA Horticulture NCIII (Enroll Now)

TESDA Horticulture NCIII is the acquisition of skills and training on how to successfully manage small farms. People who are interested in working autonomously and owning small enterprises will need this line of acquiring the skill and education. The course would also include compliance with industry quality assurance requirements, installing irrigation systems and performing specialized machinery maintenance.

It also involves acquiring skills with massive importance for the improved and better performance of the practice such as:

  1. How to apply safety measures in farm operations;
  2. How to use farm tools and equipment;
  3. Perform estimation and basic calculations;
  4. Prepare land for agricultural crop production;
  5. How to implement post-harvest program;
  6. How to implement plant nutrition program;
  7. How to control weeds;
  8. How to prepare and apply chemicals;
  9. How to establish horticultural crops;
  10. How to coordinate horticultural maintenance program;
  11. How to coordinate horticultural crop harvesting;
  12. How to undertake propagation activities;
  13. How to follow site quarantine procedures;
  14. How to collect samples for a rural production or horticultural monitoring program;
  15. How to handle bulk materials in storage area;
  16. How to prepare grain storage;
  17. How to comply with industry quality assurance requirements;
  18. How to maintain and monitor environmental work practices;
  19. How to keep records for farm business;
  20. How to perform specialized machinery maintenance; and
  21. How to install irrigation system.

In order to accomplish the short term course, one has to attend classes in a minimum of 445 hours. The schedule will depend on the TESDA site you will be enrolling at.

However, in order to take this course, one has to take Horticulture NC II as a Prerequisite. This is required by the Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs).

What are the requirements for enrolling in TESDA Horticulture NCIII?

These are the requirements in order to be in the course you want:

  1. PSA Birth Certificate
  2. High School or College Diploma
  3. Certified True Copy of Official Transcript of Records or Form 137
  4. Certificate of Good Moral Character or GMRC
  5. 1 x 1 and/or 2 x 2 pictures

How to Get a Carpentry NC III Assessment and Certificates?

Students who take this course must apply for an assessment to determine if he/she can perform the standards expected in the workplace based on the defined competency standards. The National Certificate (NC) / Certificate of Competency (COC) will be provided to those who meet the competency standards.

STEP 1: Go to any TESDA Accredited Assessment Centers/TESDA District or Provincial Office near your location and apply for assessment.
STEP 2: Submit the following documentary requirements:

  • Duly accomplished Application Form;
  • Properly and completely filled-out Self Assessment Guide of your chosen qualification;
  • Three (3) pieces of colored and passport size picture, white background, with collar and with name printer at the back;

STEP 3: Pay the Assessment Fee at the Assessment Center Cashier and get Official Receipt and Admission Slip. See List of Assessment Fees.
STEP 4: Be present at the scheduled date and assigned venue of assessment indicated in the Admission Slip.
DON’T FORGET TO BRING YOUR ADMISSION SLIP ON YOUR ASSESSMENT DATE.
STEP 5: Get the Competency Assessment Result Summary (CARS) at the Assessment Center.
STEP 6: Assessment passers must apply for certification at the TESDA District/Provincial Office where the assessment center/venue is under jurisdiction.
STEP 7: Assessment passers can claim their National Certificate (NC)/Certificate of Competency (COC) seven (7) working days after application for the issuance of COC/NC.
